Rip a music CD to MP3

Save the tracks you want, with editable song and album information.

What you can save

Free includes three different music CDs in full, separately from DVDs. After that, each selected range on a new CD outputs its first 50%. FLAC and WAV output from CD require Pro.

From source to saved file

  1. Open Extract Audio and choose the audio CD. Select the tracks you want to save.
  2. Check album and track names. Use CD-Text, edit manually, or optionally look up candidates online and verify the match.
  3. Preview a track or set a trim range, choose MP3 and save. Check the sound and tags in your music player.

Free and Pro, clearly

Free supports MP3 and AAC/M4A from music CDs, with a separate three-CD allowance and two-task CD queue. Pro removes the CD allowance and adds FLAC/WAV. CD-Text, manual metadata editing and optional online lookup do not require Pro.

Free includes 3 different DVDs and 3 different music CDs in full, counted separately. When an allowance is used up, a new disc outputs the first 50% of the selected range; for a CD, this applies to each selected track. Successful conversions count once per disc. Failures and cancellations do not count. A previously counted disc stays eligible for full output.

Check the result

This page describes MP3 output from supported media. Play the saved file, check the selected range and listen to the sound. Keep your original. No universal device compatibility or guaranteed compression ratio is implied.

Questions before you start

Will there be a watermark?

No. Neither edition adds a watermark or an artificial speed limit.

Can I save only part of the recording?

Yes. Set the start and end in the source preview. For music CDs, select tracks and set the range for each track. Any half-length limit applies to each selected track range.

Does my media leave my computer?

Conversion is local. CD metadata lookup, online licensing and update checks have separate network behavior described in the Privacy Notice.

What if the result is not what I expected?

Keep the original, check your source selection and try a short range. Use Support in the app to review and submit a diagnostic report when needed. Review it for personal information before sending.
