What you can save
Changing the file extension is not conversion. BROOVIS may re-encode the video, so keep the original when quality or existing tracks matter.
From source to saved file
- Add the MKV file to Convert Video. Check the source details and select the audio track you want.
- Preview a representative part of the video. Set a time range, picture crop or subtitle choice if needed.
- Choose MP4 and an output folder, then start. Check sound, picture and subtitle behavior in your target player.
Free and Pro, clearly
Free converts video files without a quantity or duration limit, with output up to 1080p, a two-task file queue and one running task. It supports a selected audio track and subtitle. Pro adds higher-resolution output and larger queues; separate multi-track audio export is also available for video files. Custom presets, watch folders and complete multi-subtitle preservation are not current-release claims.
Check the result
This page describes MP4 output from supported media. Play the saved file, check the selected range and listen to the sound. Keep your original. No universal device compatibility or guaranteed compression ratio is implied.
Questions before you start
Will there be a watermark?
No. Neither edition adds a watermark or an artificial speed limit.
Can I save only part of the recording?
Yes. Set the start and end in the source preview. Only the selected time range is saved. Keep the original if you may want a different passage later.
Does my media leave my computer?
Conversion is local. CD metadata lookup, online licensing and update checks have separate network behavior described in the Privacy Notice.
What if the result is not what I expected?
Keep the original, check your source selection and try a short range. Use Support in the app to review and submit a diagnostic report when needed. Review it for personal information before sending.
